About me
Hello, thank you for visiting my page. If you are reading this it is likely that you are struggling emotionally perhaps with anxiety, low self-esteem or depression. Maybe there are aspects of your behaviour that you don't like or understand that leave a sense of guilt or shame. Perhaps you are searching for meaning in life or a sense of purpose. You may feel isolated, not feeling that you can reach out and be honest with friends and family. I know how hard it can be. There are many reasons why you might be looking for a counsellor. But the very fact that you are reading this means that YOU are already on a journey towards healing and self-discovery. So, whatever has brought you here, I am an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor and it would be my privilege to accompany you on your journey of finding that inner peace or change that you are looking for.
How counselling can help
I could list all the things I can offer, but what you probably need more than anything is a listening ear: someone who will meet you and listen to you in a confidential, supportive, non-judgemental space where you feel that you are seen, heard and accepted for who you are. My question is: "Where do you hurt and how can I help you?" My aim is always to be that “listening ear”, putting you and your needs first.
It takes great courage to acknowledge that you might need help and even more courage to reach out to a therapist. You have already taken courageous steps to get this far. From personal experience I can testify that counselling can be totally life-changing and transformational, bringing hope and healing into the darkest of situations.
Next Step
If you like what you read on my profile, I invite you to request an initial free 20 minute appointment, either over the phone or online. I will ask what is prompting you to look for a counsellor, and how you hope therapy might help you, and you can gain an initial impression about me. Finding that "right fit" is important for therapy to be successful. Please send an email or contact me through my website by clicking on the links or call on 07803 138194.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
