About me

Hello and thank you for taking time to visit my profile. My name is Siddhi, and I'm a Person-Centred Counsellor. I offer in-person sessions in Glasgow and online session across UK and India. I offer sessions in both English and Hindi.

How I Work

Your emotional well-being is important. I believe that feelings like anxiety, intrusive thoughts and many others stem from not feeling respected or valued in our lives. In our sessions, I will aim to create an honest, genuine relationship with you. You'll have a space to look at yourself and your life. I think everyone has the wisdom and ability to handle their problems. Instead of giving solutions, I'll concentrate on understanding what makes you, you. I'll aim to pay attention to your feelings, and try to understand them without judging them as right or wrong. When we feel respected and valued for who we are, we understand ourselves better and get closer to our goals. I'd love to be able to offer this to you.

Why Counselling?

Understanding ourselves and the world around us is challenging. I've realized that when we understand ourselves and our emotions better, the world begins to make a bit more sense. Counselling offers a supportive environment where you can acknowledge and explore difficult emotions, gaining clarity and insight along the way.

The Free Initial Session

This online meeting lasts 15-20 minutes. It is an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves, discuss any questions you may have about counselling, how it operates, or any queries related to the sessions. Essentially, it's a chance for us to get to know each other and understand what our expectations are from the counselling process.

The First Session

The first session provides a space for you to share your reasons for seeking counselling, and begin exploring your goals and aspirations. Together, we'll lay the foundation for meaningful and transformative work ahead. We'll further discuss practicalities such as our counselling contract, session frequency, cancellation policies and any questions you have (which can be revisited at any point during our work together).

Thank you for taking the time to review this information. If you have any questions, please get in touch —I'm here to help. If you feel a connection or would like to explore the possibility of working together, I invite you to contact me to schedule an appointment. You can do so by using the ''Email me" button and I will get back to you shortly.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
