It comes to a time in life, when we need to stop and assess exactly what is going on both within ourselves and around us.
I am a fully qualified Counsellor offering Integrative counselling for private clients and other organisations.
For my private clients I have premises in Beckenham and offer daytime and evening appointments.
Within my counselling sessions I can offer you the time and space to explore your thoughts and feelings, in a safe relaxed space.
I offer individual, group and couples counselling. I work within Secondary schools with young people and also teach counselling skills courses to new counsellors.
It could be argued that relationships are a key focus for us all in life. The way we interact with one another in our everyday lives can be very telling. Do we not all strive for companionship or relationships in some form? When reflecting on presenting issues with clients, the main focus has been relationships either person to person, person to food, alcohol, drugs or the relationship with self or the outside world.
When discussing the therapeutic counselling relationship and its healing properties, it could be attributed to the lack or distress of the missing relationship outside of the counselling room. If successful this healing relationship could act as a mirror for encounters life beyond the counselling room. The constant of this counselling relationship being that the therapist provides empathy, boundaries and an ethical approach.
