About me

Welcome to my webpage. As an experienced counsellor, I have dedicated several years to working with both adults and children, guiding them through the intricacies of mental health challenges. My focus is on addressing and delving into the patterns and unhelpful behaviors that may be impacting your emotional well-being.

I work collaboratively with clients to identify the root causes of their difficulties working with depression, anxiety and low mood. Together, we explore the patterns of thinking and behavior, seeking opportunities to introduce positive change.

My therapy sessions are designed to be as unique as the people I work with. By using a variety of therapeutic techniques, I aim to provide a supportive, safe, and confidential environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment. My goal is to gently challenge you, fostering greater self-awareness and empowering you to see and act beyond established patterns that no longer serve you well.

In my therapeutic practice, I deeply value and prioritise the recognition of diversity and differences. I believe that creating a healing space where every individual's cultural, values, and unique life experiences are actively acknowledged and respected is essential, by ensuring that the therapeutic environment is respectful and understanding. I embrace the diverse backgrounds of my clients, I aim to embed a therapeutic experience that is genuinely transformative, allowing for a deeper exploration of identity within various cultural contexts. I am committed to understanding the whole person, which I believe is crucial for achieving meaningful and lasting change in therapy.

How therapy can help:

Therapy can help you in many ways; it can help you understand your emotions, develop coping mechanisms for stress, depression and anxiety, improve your communication skills and build stronger relationships with others. Therapy can also help you work through past traumas/experiences that may impacting you day to day. I will support you in identifying any challenges you may be facing to help you gain clarity on your journey in life.

I am passionate about creating change that allows you to find your voice and becoming the best version of yourself, to which is a journey that requires time, effort, and patience. Through identifying goals; I would hope we can move closer to a version of yourself that you are more in-tune and content with.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
