About me
Hello there. Well done for taking a brave, first step in considering counselling. This is often the hardest thing to do in the first place. Let me reassure you that I offer a welcoming, confidential, non-judgemental, quiet and safe space to help you make sense of and understand the root cause of what's troubling you. By offering emotional support and through exploring potentially overwhelming thoughts and feelings, you will gain perspective, build self-awareness and find your own answers and solutions. This helps build confidence and resilience in the future.
I do hope I will have the privilege of sharing your life story during our time together.
Training, qualifications & experience
Training: Person Centred Counsellor
Degree/Diploma: Edexcel Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Level 5
Additional Credentials:
- Certificate: Level 3 in Counselling Skills, CPCAB
- Certificate: Level 2 in Counselling Skills, CPCAB
As a committed practitioner, I am constantly increasing my knowledge and continuing professional development with specialist training, most recently in order to best support clients during the menopause transition. Further to this I am continuing my counselling studies with a (BA Hons) Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy (Level 6) course
Experience
I have worked extensively with adults and elders (face to face and online) with a variety of concerns, personal challenges and overwhelming feelings. I have also worked with carers for loved ones, allowing me to understand the impact on a carer's life they face on a daily basis in addition to navigating their own personal challenges and life experiences.
