About me

'Your joy is your sorrow unmasked'

                                     - Khalil Gibran

Hello and a warm welcome to you.

Whether you're facing challenges in your relationships, burdened by past traumas, battling an addiction, feeling confused, lost or a sense of stuckness - You don't need to navigate these struggles alone.

Amidst life’s hardships, it's natural to grapple with feelings of loneliness, anxiety, depression, or hopelessness. Yet within each of us resides innate wisdom, creativity, and the inner resources necessary to lead fulfilling and wholesome lives.

~ Together, let's embark on a journey to rediscover your inherent joy, confidence and self-esteem ~

As a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor, my purpose is to help you make sense of your emotional and relational experiences, unravel the patterns you may find repeatedly occurring in your life, and to develop a profound understanding of yourself so that you may live purposefully and in alignment with your true values.

Through enhancing your self-awareness and unlocking your inner resources, I aim to empower you to embody your inherent potential, invigorating you to navigate through life’s inevitable challenges with greater freedom and agency.

How I Work:

Deciding to seek therapy is a courageous step demonstrating your commitment to personal growth and psychological well-being. Nevertheless, I understand it can feel unnerving.

My primary dedication is to create a safe and compassionate environment where you can freely delve into your emotions, thoughts, and experiences without fear of judgement. Building an authentic relationship with you is my priority and is ultimately the catalyst for growth and healing.

As an integrative therapist, I draw upon a diverse range of psychotherapeutic modalities (predominantly Pyschodynamic and Humanistic) whilst adopting a relational, culturally-sensitive and creative approach. Essentially, this means I tailor my methods to suit your unique needs and personal goals.

Our work together will provide you the opportunity to identify and explore the root causes of your emotional triggers. By uncovering aspects of yourself which no longer serve you and which may previously have remained hidden from your conscious awareness, we can begin to loosen their grip on your present and future. Together, we will navigate the layers of conditioning, societal expectations, and past experiences that have influenced your self-perception and worldview.

You’ll develop effective coping strategies to regulate emotions, manage stress and maintain a greater sense of balance and resilience in your life.

Whether you are looking for short-term support or long-term therapy, I am committed to working collaboratively with you to achieve your desired goals.

No problem is too big or too small. If you’re ready, I’m here to stand by you. Together, we can conquer any storm.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Professional Diploma (BACP accredited) in Integrative Counselling.
  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

Originally trained as a chartered physiotherapist, I recognise the reciprocal relationship between physical health and mental wellbeing. This understanding of the interconnectedness between mind and body, informs and complements my counselling practice. I embrace a holistic approach by integrating somatic practices, such as mindfulness, breathwork and movement to help you connect with your body and regulate your nervous system.

Through my active engagement with numerous charitable organisations, the National Health Service (NHS), and the corporate sector, I have garnered substantial expertise in delivering emotional and mental health support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Drawing from my professional training, background, and enriched life experiences, I possess a versatile skill set and a wealth of expertise to effectively address a broad spectrum of client presentations.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
