About us

Psychology Scotland’s mission is to bring effective and comfortable therapeutic and psychological support to all who require it.

We aim to bring you the very best in empirically supported therapeutic interventions, delivered with care and subjective consideration in an approachable and supportive environment.

Accessing therapy can at times be a daunting and nerve wracking experience. Taking the step to access support isn’t easy as it requires you to face up to your difficulties and seek help. We want to make therapy a smooth and comfortable endeavour for you.

There are a number of highly trained psychologists here at Psychology Scotland that are dedicated to helping you achieve your therapeutic goals and managing any difficulties that you may be facing.

The therapy sessions which we provide are supportive, comfortable and seek to develop your self-awareness, practical coping skills and management of the difficulties which you may be facing and equip you to live a life with an improved state of mental wellbeing.

We would love to work with you to unpack your difficulties and seek a collaborative, helpful and supportive way forward.

Training, qualifications & experience

All of our psychologists are trained to the highest standards, all have doctorates in counselling psychology registered by the British Psychological Society and all are registered with HCPC.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
