About me

Hello, I'm Polly,

I am a registered counsellor offering support and help in a confidential, calm place. I'm here to help if you are struggling with life or feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed. I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, separation, divorce, affairs, bereavement, abuse and family issues with both young people and adults. I particularly specialise in loss, bereavement and relationships.

Sometimes, it can be difficult to talk about our problems and worries with family and friends. My approach is to work alongside you: providing you with a welcoming space where you can talk about whatever you wish to, in confidence. So if your feelings are isolating you, or perhaps you are finding it tough to express your thoughts with your loved ones, therapy can be the solution.

The relationship with your therapist is key in helping you make the change you wish for in yourself. It is important you feel comfortable, supported and at ease with whomever you choose to help you. However daunting this may seem, you have already taken the first step forward. I am hear to listen.

So, if you are experiencing feelings such as confusion, anger, hurt or struggling to move on from a place where you feel stuck, spending time together will enable you to bring change within yourself to move forward and take back control of your life.

I offer both short and long-term therapy.  Short-term therapy tends to be more goal-focused and specific to a particular issue, whereas long-term therapy is usually more open-ended and involves looking more deeply at the client’s history, relationships and patterns of thought and behaviour.

If you would like to make an initial appointment to discuss your issues and to see whether we get along, please contact me on the details given above.
