About me

I am a highly trained, experienced and currently practicing Relate couples and individual therapist. I am available to offer you immediate help and support.

About you.......

Are you feeling stressed, sad, troubled, anxious, depressed, worried?

Do you experience social anxiety?

Are you bereaved or experiencing anxiety or stress following a trauma?

Are you experiencing relationship, intimacy or other problems?

Are you facing infidelity, separation, divorce?

Have you recently been diagnosed as neurodivergent or with ADHD?

Do you need to understand your past or make changes in your life?

These are difficult burdens to carry.........

If you are considering seeking counselling, it will be because something has shifted for you. Something in your world, in your life, in your relationship, in your thoughts or your feelings. You may be struggling to make sense of your situation, feeling high levels of anxiety, or even be experiencing panic attacks. Whatever the cause of your difficulties, I am here to help.

I have worked with Relate (the foremost relationship counselling organisation in the UK) for 29 years. During this time, I have provided successful therapeutic support to thousands of couples and individuals. I am now extending my skills to work in private practice.

Whatever your issues are, I can offer you caring, empathetic, professional and effective therapy in a safe environment.

If you choose to work with me, I will draw upon my extensive training, skills, experience and strategies from a wide range of therapeutic theory and practice, as well my own learning from life to enable you to move forward.

You will experience a warm and genuine therapeutic relationship in our work together. I will integrate psycho-dynamic, systemic, cognitive behavioral as well as solution focused strategies to guide you to explore and understand whatever issues you come to counselling to resolve. This exploration and understanding will lead you to becoming empowered to find the solutions you need and make the changes necessary to live your life in a more peaceful and fulfilling way.

Life can be better for you than it is currently.......

It has improved for these clients with whom I have worked:

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
