About me

I am a warm and empathic Psychologist. I am passionate about supporting people to understand difficulties they are experiencing in ways that are strengths-focused, empowering, and enabling hopeful possibilities for change. My practice is anti-discriminatory, including in relation to race, culture, religion, gender, sexuality, ability, and appearance. I aim to work to create safe and non-judgemental therapeutic relationships where experiences can be shared in ways that enable people to feel stronger. I have over 15 years’ experience of working in Psychology services in the NHS and independent practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have highly specialist skills in working across all ages with children, young people, adults, couples and families. I offer therapy in relation to traumas, loss, low mood, anxiety, stress, difficulties in relationships or families, and in education or the workplace.

I am skilled in supporting needs associated with mental health and neurodiversity, including autism and learning disabilities. I provide assessments, formulations of difficulties, and interventions. My interventions are informed by my training in Systemic Therapy, CBT, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. As a Clinical Psychologist, I am skilled in integrating these interventions to best meet people's needs.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
