We all at some stage in our lives experience emotional challenges.
As a counsellor and psychotherapist I offer a safe space to support you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours connected to your life experiences.
I work in a non-judgmental way, listening with empathy to better understand what is troubling you.
Together we will create a nurturing environment for you to grow and make the changes you feel you need. Compassion is central to each session. I believe that we all have the resources within us to reach our potential given the right condition.
Sessions are held in a peaceful and therapeutic counselling room based in Saltaire which is has free parking close by and on a main bus route from Bradford City Centre.
Free 30 minutes telephone consultation.
I understand entering into counselling can be a big step and it takes courage to reach out. To help with this I offer everyone a free 30 minute telephone consultation. When you contact me we can discuss and assess your reasons for accessing therapy and how we could work together. Once you have decided if I am the right therapist for you, we can meet for our first session where we will complete and sign our agreement. All enquiries are treated with care and are confidentiality.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Higher Education Certificate in Humanistic Counselling Practice.
- Diploma in Humanistic Counselling Practice.
- BA (hons) in Humanistic Counselling Practice.
I qualified from The University of Nottingham in 2011 as a Person Centred Therapist. In the same year I started working for a charity supporting people experiencing addiction and their families, I have specialised within this area for the past 15 years.
I have worked therapeutically in both the voluntary sector and private sector with addiction and trauma around the Bradford and West Yorkshire area. Although I specialise in these areas I also have many years experience with other mental and emotional difficulties. These will be listed in the 'areas of counselling' section below.
I attend regular supervision and I am a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I adhere to the BACP ethical framework and code of conduct for best practice.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

1-1 private therapy £50.00 (per hour).
* All sessions must be paid for on the day of therapy or in advance by either cash or Bank Transfer.
Counselling/Psychotherapy sessions will last for 50 minutes. It is important that therapy sessions begin at the agreed time and finish on time.
Therapeutic Workshops £25-£55.
I am available Monday to Friday daytimes and evenings.
I offer 121 counselling/psychotherapy sessions which are open ended or short term. This will depend on the complexity and depth in which you would like to explore in therapy.
Every 6 sessions we will have a reflection session as part of our therapeutic work together. This will help identify how you feel the therapy is going (progress and/or any barriers).
