About me

Counselling for Children, Young People and Adults in Surrey and Hampshire (close to Aldershot, Farnham, Camberley and Guildford) - in person or online counselling sessions available.

Life often presents challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or lost. I am passionate about supporting people getting through life's hurdles, even the unexpected ones whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship or family issues, or any other concerns that may be impacting your mental well-being.

Appreciating everyone is unique, my aim is to support you in finding a positive way forward and feeling less overwhelmed, by offering a space where you will be heard and seen, away from the noise of life. Our 50 minutes together will be totally focused on you and what you bring to the session, without interruption.

We will be able to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space, and you will be at the heart of our counselling relationship, as we work together to help you make sense of your feelings.

Our work together will be supported by my integrative approach to counselling, which means I can be flexible and use a variety of methods that can work for you.

As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I strictly adhere to their ethical guidelines. My regular supervision ensures the highest standards of care in my counselling practice.

I will respond to emails within 48 hours but please check junk email box.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to my private practice, I work as a counsellor in a Secondary School, where I am dedicated to young people's well-being. Volunteering for a local charity offering counselling to those aged 11 to 25 is another way I'm giving back to the community and ensuring that mental health support is accessible to all.

My commitment to continuous professional development and regular supervision ensures that I provide the highest standard of support to my clients. I'm dedicated to creating a safe and empathetic space where individuals can find support, understanding, and a path forward.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
