About me
Do you ever find yourself feeling a bit tense, nervous, or having trouble relaxing? You may have noticed a constant churning sensation in your stomach. It's possible that you're feeling overwhelmed by concerns related to school, work, relationships with colleagues, family, or friends. Maybe you're experiencing a sense of dread or fearing the worst, which is impacting your daily life.
Anxiety can be overwhelming, leaving you feeling constantly on edge, worried, and can impact every aspect of your life.
Engaging with counselling can help you unravel the knots of worry and build the tools to manage anxiety for a calmer, more fulfilling life.
Some information about who I am and how I work:
Before becoming a counsellor, I had a career in event management, where I had the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life and build trusting relationships. This experience now supports me with offering a safe space where you can openly share your worries, knowing you'll be heard and understood.
As a parent, I've personally dealt with the fear and emotional upheaval that comes with a life-changing diagnosis. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the anxieties and struggles families face. Additionally, seeking my own counselling equipped me with valuable tools and strategies for managing anxiety and building inner strength.
Outside of private practice, I work as a counsellor in a secondary school, passionate about nurturing young people’s well-being. My approach is infused with creative techniques tailored to each client to address issues like anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges, making therapy engaging and effective for all ages.
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I strictly adhere to their ethical guidelines. My regular supervision ensures the highest standards of care in my counselling practice.
I will respond to emails within 48 hours but please check junk email box.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
