About me
As a relational psychotherapist, I am deeply committed to creating a compassionate, attuned space where individuals from all walks of life feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I specialise in working with the lasting impacts of historical trauma—whether rooted in early life experiences or long-held patterns of pain. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a belief in each person's capacity for growth. I work alongside my clients to gently untangle the past’s hold on the present, helping them move toward greater self-understanding and emotional freedom.
I also support clients navigating grief, relationship challenges, and complex relational dynamics, recognising that our deepest struggles often arise in connection with others. Whether you are facing the pain of loss, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or seeking a more empowered sense of self, my aim is to offer therapy that feels safe, respectful, and transformative. Together, we can explore your experiences and build the resilience and clarity needed to meet your therapeutic goals
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified psychotherapist, holding a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I currently practice at Therapy Nottingham, having previously gained valuable experience at Nottingham Counselling Service.
My practice is inclusive and affirming to all. I work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodiverse individuals. Creating a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood is at the heart of what I do.
I support clients navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma (including complex and developmental trauma), historical issues, and bereavement. Together, we explore these experiences with care and curiosity—developing insight, building self-esteem, and empowering you to move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.
I have a particular depth of experience in working with the effect of historical childhood trauma and adverse childhood experiences and how these impact adult life and relationships. In our work together, we can begin to make sense of how these experiences have shaped you and gently work through the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that may be holding you back.
You may feel as though the past still has a powerful grip on your present. Through our therapeutic relationship, we will explore alternative perspectives, rediscover your strengths, and help you reconnect with your ability to make choices that truly align with who you are today.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
