About me
You might be struggling with anxiety, depression or even figuring out why life just doesn't feel as satisfying as it used to.
I believe that counselling can provide an open and non-judgemental space for you to explore what is troubling you. We might explore current troubles and anxieties or connect with the experiences that have impacted and shaped who you are today. This confidential space can provide the framework for deep healing of old patterns and wounds.
I offer an empathic space to explore difficult or painful feelings, being mindful of the world we live in and the different experiences that make us all individuals. Good mental health is a lifelong journey, if you need a helping hand, welcome.
Trans and non-binary individuals are welcome here. I focus on supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and understand how vital it is to have a counsellor who affirms your sexuality and gender. I am committed to developing my anti-racist, anti-oppressive practice . I recognize my duty to keep learning and believe I can grow as an ally while advancing my work and personal growth.
I offer a free 15-20 minute session over the phone or online for us to meet, and to get a sense of how we might work together. If this sounds like it might be what you are looking for, please send me an email.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative relational counsellor working predominately with 18-40 year olds who might be struggling with depression, anxiety, sexuality or gender identity struggles and/or self-esteem or low confidence.
I work relationally, which means we might focus on all of the different types of relationships in your life, ranging from friends and family, to your relationship to other areas of your life such as work, your self, society. By looking at these relationships, we may begin to see patterns and work together to see if those patterns feel as though they are working for you or something you might want to challenge and change. I also work in a person-centered way, which means the sessions are led by you and we will be very in tune with how its feeling to being the room and to be speaking about your experiences.
I have experience working as a mental health worker in an LGBTQIA+ charity. Here I supported people both individually and in groups to speak about their sexuality, as well as a variety of mental health issues or struggles. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community myself, I know how important it can be to have counselling with a person who understands the specific challenges and allows you to explores those areas of yourself without feeling judged or a need to explain.
I have experience of working with people bringing a wide variety of issues such as: depression, anxiety, abuse, PTSD, grief and bereavement, identity, gender and sexuality.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
