About me
Whether you're struggling with stress, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or simply looking to understand yourself better, I offer a tailored approach to therapy, empowering you to overcome your challenges and make lasting, positive changes. I believe in the power of therapy to help people reconnect with their strength and resilience. If you're ready to take the first step, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
My name is Luke I am a qualified integrative counsellor (MBACP) and EMDR therapist (PG Cert). I have extensive experience working in the NHS with staff support and clinical health psychology services. I am also a visiting lecturer at Newman University teaching counselling studies. In these roles, I have been able to help clients with a variety of needs to overcome difficulties in their lives and improve their mental health. I have a true passion for helping those who struggle with their mental health and treat it as a huge honour and privilege when people choose to put their trust in me to do so. I have been in clinical practice since 2020 and have over 18 years of experience working with people seeking to improve their mental health.
Counselling can be short-term or long-term. The number of sessions will depend on the work required. This will be discussed in our initial free phone call and will be an ongoing part of the therapy should you decide to proceed.
Everything is reliant upon your needs as an individual and we will regularly discuss the progress we both feel you are making and adapt the number of sessions in response to this.
Sessions are conducted through face-to-face therapy at my room in Stourbridge, or we can meet online.
Initial Contact:
Please feel free to get in touch with me to organise an initial phone call, I may be with a client and unable to answer my phone or email back straight away. The best way to contact me and for me to reply quickly is to email me/website enquiry or text, If you do phone please leave a message, I will always aim to respond to you as soon as I can, normally on the same day or within 24 hours.
(If you do not receive an email or text response from me within 24hrs please check your 'Junk' inbox.)
An initial free assessment via telephone will last no longer than 20 minutes. This enables us to discuss why you are considering therapy and establish whether you think I am the right therapist for you.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
