About me

I am a UKCP registered systemic and family psychotherapist offering therapeutic support to everyone from all backgrounds, of all ages. I aim to provide a safe confidential space where you can talk about anything in your life that may be uncomfortable, confusing or painful without fear of judgement.

My approach is collaborative and inclusive, working with individuals, couples and families aiming to establish a comfortable reflective pace.  We develop a shared understanding of the stories & beliefs about the difficulties that are impacting along with the strengths, hopes & expectations held by yourself & others. We work together collaboratively to create a flexible, creative & individually unique therapeutic experience.

Together we explore alternative & helpful ways to:

  • manage difficult feelings.
  • think about your own & other’s needs & values.
  • relate, connect & communicate with others.
  • establish strategies to support you through life crises or life changes.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a systemic family therapist with extensive experience working in a variety of settings within the NHS, including both adult services & CAMHS (child & adolescent mental health services).

Along with supporting adults & young people individually with relationships, emotional well-being & mental health; I work together with parents, carers & professionals to foster more helpful approaches to effect success & change.

I initially began my career as a mental health nurse & through this work, became aware of the importance of whole family wellbeing. I aim to support the development of a shared understanding of the connections between the mind & body influencing emotions, needs & behaviours to enable holistic well-being & prevent longer term physical & mental health difficulties.

I also have a decade’s experience as a clinical specialist based in schools, highlighting the importance of social & emotional wellbeing for children & young people to be happy & thrive both their personal & academic lives.

I have a small  private practice based in Godalming Surrey, and also work in CAMHS within the NHS.

I am a member of the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council), AFT (Association of Family Therapy) & UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy).
