About me
Have you been finding things difficult lately? Do you need support from someone who can help you work through things?
Hello, I’m Louise and I am an NCPS, MBACP and IPTUK registered professional Counsellor, Interpersonal Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, with 10 years of experience.
During those 10 years, I have worked with Adults, Adolescents, Children and Young people, experiencing a range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety disorders, anger management, bereavement, loss, relationship difficulties, family issues, life transitions, low self-esteem, confidence, stress, and those struggling with maladaptive recurring life patterns or lack direction in their life.
If you are having difficulties within your life, or experiencing emotional pain and just can’t seem to overcome them no matter what you do. I am here to work alongside you, support you and explore your feelings and thoughts within a safe, warm, non judgemental and confidential space.
How can I help you?
I am down to earth and aim to make you feel safe and heard while we work together to process and address what you are finding difficult. We will work at your pace, and I will change and adapt my approach as appropriate. There is no ‘one size fits all’ to my practice because we are all unique and require different things to flourish.
I will support you to explore past or current difficulties in a safe, supportive and confidential environment. I offer an empathic and non-judgement space to help you develop, grow and understand what may be troubling you.
Experiencing difficulties is a natural part of life. Through counselling you will have the space to explore, gain awareness and learn new skills to help you manage or overcome things that once felt impossible.
You may often find it very challenging to be honest with Family and Friends about the difficulties you are experiencing. This is where counselling can be so beneficial. It offers a space to be supported, and work through your difficulties with someone from an objective stance.
My diverse client work and training over many years has enabled me to become neurodivergent aware and trauma Informed in my practice.
My current private work will be based online via video link or telephone. I may offer face to face or walk and talk therapy depending on availability. If any of them are specifically requested, please state on your initial email.
Finding the right therapist for you is important and it is vital you make the right decision. If you would like to contact me then please do get in touch with any questions about the therapy.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
