About me

I offer collaborative psychotherapeutic counselling; working alongside you at your pace to explore your feelings, thoughts, decisions, tensions, hopes, dreams and relationships. We can work indoors, outdoors, on the phone and with creative techniques to find the most helpful way for you to unpack and explore your experiences and concerns.

I believe that we are all doing the best we can with what we understand and have available - the more we understand about ourselves, the more choice we can have over our life. The therapeutic process provides a safe space where I accompany you as a “fellow traveller”. Bringing compassion and gentle questioning to help you to understand how you feel, identify how your thoughts and beliefs have come to be, where you would like to be in life and how you might get there.

I am particularly interested in how nature can be a source of inspiration and wisdom to understand our own life cycles and processes. I work in a way where we consider the wider world around us (people and society, other living beings and our physical environment) as being important in understanding our experience of life. Depending on how interested you are in working with nature and the other-than-human world, we can invite in the natural world around you as a "co-therapist" in our work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

I am particularly interested in existential, ecotherapy / outdoor and walking therapy, along with other creative ways of working. I'm currently training in Wild Therapy, deepening my therapeutic practice to incorporate the other-than-human.

Additional training includes; Existential Courage, Relational Depth, Telephone Counselling, Working Creatively Online, Working Creatively with Transitions, Creative and Somatic Parts Work.

I have also completed Foundation Training as an End of Life Doula.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I can adapt contracts and other information to meet any accessibility needs. The indoor space I use is not wheelchair accessible. Working outdoors, we can work together to find an accessible and appropriate space.
