Thank you for visiting my page.
Are you experiencing an issue that is having an effect on your day to day life, and feel unsure about how to resolve this alone? If so a talking therapy may help.
You may be experiencing low mood, depression (including postnatel depression), anxiety, confidence issues, relationship difficulties, self harm or affected by abuse (this list is not exhaustive). Recent or past traumas can also have a huge impact on our lives and I hope to provide you with a safe and supportive space in order to work through this.
My Training and Approach to Counselling
I am trained in Integrative counselling, which means I draw on many different theories and techniques to suit you as a client. You are an individual and have your own needs, aims and goals. With that in mind I hope to personalise this supportive space to suit your needs.
People often wonder how talking therapy can help them. I believe that counselling offers the unique opportunity to explore and reflect your innermost thoughts and feelings, free of judgement. This may provide you with a whole new perspective of the difficulty you are facing, and therefore allow you to move forward.
Who I Work With
I work with both adults and young people (age 12 yrs +) on a one-to-one basis. This can be on a short term or long term basis to suit you.
When working with children and young people I work more creatively, as sometimes the right words can be too hard to find. Using images, drawings or paintings can mean a great deal more when trying to express yourself.
What to Expect from your First Session
It is important that you see a counsellor that is the right person for you; so our initial session offers a two way process of getting to know one another and finding out if we can work together. The main aim from our first session is to find out what's brought you here and what you would like to achieve.
Please do feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or would like an informal discussion about your counselling needs.
I look forward to working with you.
