About me

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, working both online and face to face. I offer a confidential space for us to work together to discuss and reflect on whatever is troubling you, and together we will try to understand and make sense of what has brought you to counselling. We will work together at your pace, for as long as you think necessary. I will be led by you.

Sometimes sharing your problems with a trusted, well qualified professional can help you to view them from a different more manageable perspective, and to do this we will endeavour to create a trusting, non-judgemental relationship, wherein we can work together to encourage change. As a counsellor I do not offer advice or try to solve your problems for you, but trusting in the therapeutic process and the relationship we an build together, change can, and does happen.

I offer online as well as face to face counselling in a safe and secure space in North Abingdon. I offer a fifteen-minute telephone or on-line consultation to enable you to ask questions, and for us to decide whether we think we can work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body).

I have covered many hours of Continuing Professional Development training and am working towards Accreditation.

I have previous experience working with children and young people, both on an educational level as a teacher, and from a medical perspective, working in palliative care.

I have experience working as a supporter/counsellor with the CRUSE Bereavement Care service in Oxford, and as a 'School Counsellor' working for a local Carers Charity.  I have also worked as a listener for the Samaritans Helpline Service.  I also work for a not for profit organisation supporting adults who are carers.

My work is governed by the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society).
