About me
Hi, I'm Lilly and I am an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, here to support you through whatever life may be presenting you with. I recognise that your reasons for seeking therapy will be as individual as you.
My therapy room is based on Gandy Street in central Exeter, for face-to-face sessions. I also offer online and telephone counselling.
Sometimes life can feel challenging, it can feel stressful and full of uncertainty. Counselling can provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore any challenges or issues you may be struggling with.
It can help you overcome challenges, process difficult emotions, manage life transitions, bring self-awareness and clarity. It can help connect you back to yourself. I believe therapy can provide a space to make peace with ourselves.
I can support you on this journey of self-discovery by offering a warm, collaborative and compassionate environment free from judgment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.
Together we can look to make sense of a range of issues that you may be dealing with, these include but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationships, self-esteem and confidence, childhood trauma, domestic and sexual abuse, emotional regulation, family issues, identity, and more.
Training, qualifications & experience
I practice using a relational and integrative approach. This is simpler than it may sound. It means I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and that I will integrate various tools from these different approaches to therapy. This allows for an openness and flexibility to mould my practice to meet your needs.
To work relationally means that I aim to make you feel safe, listened to, valued and understood. I believe that our therapeutic relationship is at the core of the work that we do together. So, it is important that you feel comfortable and accepted.
My intuitive approach is underpinned by a humanistic and holistic model that puts you as the expert of your own journey. It is one that values your experiences and feelings that are as individual as you. The work that we do is co-created, each client gets a unique experience.
I am a qualified and fully insured BACP registered psychotherapist and counsellor. Over the years, I have gained experience working with a range of individuals experiencing different mental health difficulties, trauma and bereavement.
Qualifications:

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
