About me

Hello and a warm welcome to my profile. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor with a warm, compassionate nature.

I have experience of working with adults of all ages with a range of life issues including anxiety and depression, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, workplace issues, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse and eating disorders/body image.

I also volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care, First Steps Eating Disorders and SAIL (Sexual Abuse and Incest Line).

As a professional, I am an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, meaning you can trust that I will work ethically and safely with you. I am fully insured and have DBS clearance and I have regular supervision to ensure best practice.

Counselling Services

We all experience difficulties in our life, don't we? Relationships struggles, problems at work, family issues, to name a few. Sometimes these difficulties consume us and are all we can think about.

Together we can explore those difficulties and find a way to navigate through them in a space where you can feel heard, listened to and understood with compassion and empathy and without judgement. I am a person-centred-practitioner, which means we will work together in a non-directive way to help you to understand your experiences, relationships and feelings in a way that enables you to move towards therapeutic change. Each session will be unique to you and your needs.

I currently offer face-to-face, online and telephone counselling sessions.  I invite you to get in touch with me and arrange an introductory call to see if we can work together.  I am happy to be contacted by phone, text, Whatsapp or e-mail.

Confidentiality

Anything you discuss in our counselling sessions will remain confidential unless it is felt that you or another person is at significant risk of harm.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
