Proactive, Integrative & Holistic Online Psychotherapy
& Outdoor Walk & Talk Counselling in Nuthall, Nottingham

With 15 years of experience, BACP Accredited, BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and extensive further studies, I provide a compassionate, and gently challenging space for those wanting to move forward from stress, emotions, negativity, stuckness, and confusion,  towards peace, calm, confidence and clarity.

Whether you are seeking Online Psychotherapy or the Outdoors Walk & Talk Counselling in Nuthall, I am here to help you understand your experiences, work with your root issues, and build daily strategies to break negative patterns, and support long lasting positive change.

Specialising in: Anxiety, Anger, ADHD, relationship struggles, burnout, menopause, childhood trauma, and emotional/nervous system regulation.

How we can start: Taking the courageous step to reach out here, and have a free consultation, without obligation, is an empowering move.

I offer a free 15-minute Zoom consultation to explore some brief background details, what you are struggling with and hoping for, provide insight, and to answer any questions.

I blend traditional psychotherapy with body-based (somatic) approaches, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and nervous system/emotional regulation to help you create more of the life you want.

I can also work with EFT Emotional Freedom Technique (Guided Self Tapping), which is a well researched and structured approach for helping trauma, anxiety, negative emotions and other difficult experiences, and associations.

Who I Work With & Specialisms

I work with individuals, couples, and groups. My focus areas include:

Childhood & Developmental Issues/Trauma: Inner child healing, attachment wounds, parts work, and defence mechanisms.
Emotions and Relationship Dynamics: Co-dependency, boundary issues, anger, anxiety, grief and shame, and repeating negative relational patterns.
Thoughts, Negative Beliefs, and Mindset Management:  unhelpful thinking, negative beliefs, confusion, and self-sabotage.
Body and Nervous System Issues: Working with discomfort, sensations, emotions, fear, stress, panic, threat, reactivity, shutdown, and disconnection.
Psychoeducation:  Understanding what is happening, why we are the way we are, what is helpful, and what we can learn and do to improve our experience, and address our difficulties.
Resourcing, and Coping Strategies:  A wide range of thinking, feeling, and behavioural practices that help support and improve our well-being.

My Approach
My core training is Integrative, Developmental, and Relational and I tailor my approach to your unique needs rather than fitting you into a rigid box.

I draw from Humanistic and Psychodynamic therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Person Centred and Attachment Theory, alongside modern, evidence-informed tools including:

Polyvagal Theory (Nervous system regulation)
Somatic Therapy (Body)
Mindfulness & Mindset Management - Conscious and Subconscious

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
