About me

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming or directionless. You might feel stuck, caught in the same old patterns, wishing things were different… wishing you felt different.

Perhaps the pain of the past or worries about the future are making it hard to be present, to find joy in the here and now. Maybe it’s fear, anxiety, or uncertainty that’s holding you back from living the life you want.

If any of this resonates with you, counselling can help. It offers a space to understand what’s keeping you stuck, explore new perspectives, and begin to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Are you ready to start living in a way that feels more true to you?

How counselling can help:

A Space to Be Heard, Understood, and Truly Seen

At times, life can feel confusing, painful, or overwhelming. You may find yourself weighed down by fears and worries, feeling disconnected from who you really are. Together, we can gently explore what’s going on for you, your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. In our work, you’ll have the opportunity to reconnect with yourself, understand your needs, and begin to move toward meaningful change.

Counselling offers a space to make sense of difficult or challenging moments in life. It can help you reflect, re-evaluate, and begin to view your experiences from new and empowering perspectives.

As an integrative counsellor, I work in a flexible, client-centred, and creative way. This means I tailor each session to your individual needs, there’s no “one size fits all” approach. I won’t judge you or tell you what to do. Instead, I’ll walk alongside you, offering support, reflection, and the space to process your thoughts and feelings safely.

Being heard and valued in a therapeutic space can bring about deep healing. Through compassionate connection, we can explore your story and begin to understand how your past may be influencing your present, and how you might begin to create something different for your future.

My Approach and Experience

I have worked with a wide range of issues and individuals, including in specialist services supporting those affected by sexual assault and abuse. I have a deep interest in trauma and its impact on the nervous system, and I integrate somatic and body-based approaches into my work when appropriate.

As a somatic-informed trauma counsellor, I understand that trauma isn’t just something we think about, it’s something we feel and hold in the body. Our nervous system often carries the imprint of past experiences, even when we’re not consciously aware of it. In our work together, I gently integrate body-based awareness into the therapeutic process, helping you reconnect with your body in safe, manageable ways. This approach can support regulation, deepen self-understanding, and help release stored tension or trauma responses. You don’t need any prior experience, just a willingness to be curious and compassionate with yourself.

My qualifications include:

Certified Complex Trauma Practitioner
Level 5 Somatic-Informed Trauma Counselling Diploma
Currently completing CSTIP training with the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute
Experience in a specialist sexual assault and abuse support service

I regularly undertake continued professional development to deepen my knowledge and offer the most effective support to my clients.

I believe in the capacity for growth, healing, and fulfilment at any stage of life. No matter where you’re starting from, it’s never too late to begin living in a way that feels more aligned, more connected, and more you.

The relationship between counsellor and client is especially important in order for us to be able to effectively work together. With this in mind I offer a free 20-minute telephone or video call during which you can give me brief details of why you are seeking counselling and ask me any questions you may have. If we agree to working together, we can then book an initial session in which we can explore your reasons for seeking counselling and how you would like counselling to help you.

How I work:

All sessions are 50 minutes in length. For continuity sessions will ideally be held weekly/fortnightly on the same day and time. I offer both daytime and evening sessions Monday to Thursday.

Face to face sessions from the iCentre in Newport Pagnell Milton Keynes.

Please call or email to enquire and I will endeavour to respond to you within 48 hours. Please check Junk Mail if you haven’t received a response from me after 48 hours.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
