About me

Would you like the opportunity to feel heard, accepted, and understood? I can offer you the time and space to be yourself and think without pressure. This will give you clarity and insight, empowering you to find your own voice and realise your full potential.

You don’t have to feel alone when life feels challenging or overwhelming. Sometimes you may not know what is troubling you and it takes courage to seek support. By listening to you with complete compassion and empathy, together we can gently explore the causes of painful emotions such as anxiety, depression, stress, anger, and self-harm, panic attacks or low self-esteem.

I have experience supporting people living through relationship difficulties to feel less isolated and alone.

I specialise in supporting people living with chronic illness, bereavement, unexpected loss, trauma, and menopause.

I have experience supporting couples when facing challenging times together, in finding an amicable way forwards through separation and divorce and pre-marital therapy to address any concerns or issues.

I offer a confidential, warm, non-judgemental setting where you will feel heard, valued, and accepted for who you are, placing you at the heart of our therapeutic relationship. We will work together at your pace, without pressure, to make positive changes in your life and relationships.

I offer a free 30-minute Zoom session where we can talk through any questions you may have and agree how you would like to use our time together. I offer both open-ended or short term therapy, depending on your needs - the choice is always yours.

I work integratively tailoring your therapy to you and your individual needs.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
