Thank you for taking the time to look over my profile. I am a qualified Integrative counsellor, with person centred as my core. I am registered with British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy which means that I follow their ethics.
I have over 10 years experience of working with families, adults and children in a range of settings. I have always loved my work and feel that the most important thing is truly listening to someone and how they are feeling. To be able to give someone the space to be able to talk without judgement, and be accepted is so powerful! I feel that offering this space for someone really does empower them.
I understand that people come to counselling for loads of different reasons. I hope that I can offer a space for you to explore what you need to in a non judgemental and accepting environment. I aim to work with you to achieve a safe space for you to open up and talk openly and honestly.
I am very passionate about mental health and how important it is to look after yourself. Whilst working with families and training I identified that therapy can be expensive and unable to afford the fees. With this in mind I have offered an online service to be able to reduce the fee.
I have worked with a range of different clients on many different issues that they are facing. From depression, anxiety, low self-esteem/confidence, low self-worth, and relationship issues. I have experience in working with all forms of abuse and trauma and I currently volunteer at East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS). I have volunteered here for over a year. I have volunteered at Place2be working with children for over a year in schools.
If you would like to call or email to set up an initial session, please use the details included. In the session we will talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you wish to gain from counselling. If you wish to proceed, we can then set a date and time to talk again. Knowing that counselling can be daunting and making sure that you get the right counsellor for you, I would offer the first session reduced rate.
"Jess was a great counsellor. She helped me work through real situations and challenged me to think differently. She was kind and supportive. She gave me a chance to open lots of long closed boxes in a safe way and explore where some of my issues and problems are coming from. She presents a very real person who is easy to talk to."

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
