About me

Sometimes we need some space to offload, to say difficult things and not feel judged. In my therapy sessions I can provide a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, helping you to feel supported and understood in what you're dealing with. My style of therapy is humanistic, which means you take the lead on where we go in sessions, and you are the best person to decide what to do in your life - my role is to support you in this, hear and understand you, and provide safety and challenge as your self-awareness grows.

I work with children, young people and adults. I am able to offer private therapy online, via the telephone or by text or email, or home visits are available (please get in touch to see if this is a suitable option for you.) There is no right or wrong choice, it is about what you feel will work best for you and your therapy. I am also able to offer in-person therapy for education settings in the Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire areas.

I can offer support around the following issues:

  • Grief and Loss, including pre-bereavement and complex grief
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self-harm
  • Attachment issues
  • Low self-esteem
  • Trauma and PTSD

Please get in touch to see if I can support your individual needs, or for signposting to services that may be able to help.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
