About me

I am qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a member of BACP. I offer long and short term confidential counselling support online and in person. I have experience in working with clients who have encountered trauma, neglect, abuse, low self-esteem, and difficulty with relationships. Also, I work with people who need support with anxiety, stress, low mood, and compulsive behaviour. I have experience in working with clients from different walks of life, of different cultural backgrounds, diverse religious beliefs and different ethnicities. I have an interest in understanding how physical health and wellbeing is impacting our mental health.

I believe that every person has potential for change and can achieve self-acceptance if right conditions are provided. My professional experience has taught me that if a person feels safe and feels understood, then they can begin their journey towards acceptance and healing.

I work in a non-directive and non-pathological way, carefully attuning to client’s needs. I offer a safe and confidential space, where I am honest and transparent, where the client is at the heart of the therapy.

I work in non- pathologizing way, by exploring and understanding your unique way to respond to distress. I offer a confidential and safe space for you to discuss your feelings, concerns, thoughts and challenges, a space where you are in charge of your story and counselling process. I believe that everyone’s story deserves to be heard and understood, from the experience, I have learned that this is what lays a path to self-acceptance and self-love, and allows for change to begin.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
