About me

I am qualified to offer therapy to both adults and young people. I am qualified as an art therapist and as a specialist sex and relationship psychotherapist. I work in private practice, within the NHS and in higher education.

I support adults and couples with relationship or/and sexual difficulties, these may include difficulties with sex and intimacy for instance sexual pain, communication issues, use of porn or sexually compulsive behaviours, and erectile difficulties.

I also work with individual psychological or mental health issues which may include depression and low mood, anxiety, sex and relationship difficulties, sexuality, low self-esteem, work-based stress, trauma, compulsive behaviours, confidence, and relationship problems.

I have experience working with clients of all ages with/ without a diagnosis of ADHD/Autism.

Training, qualifications & experience

My experience comes from over 30 years working in the NHS, community and inpatient services as well as voluntary and community organisations and private practice. I have a 30 year history of working in mental health nursing and 20 years in psychotherapy working with groups, individuals, couples, and young people. I currently work as a senior lecturer in higher education teaching on a range of professional counselling and psychotherapy training programmes.

I can offer clinical supervision for practitioners.

I offer a flexible service tailored to meet your needs and what you would like to explore. Currently, I work face to face and online. I use a goal centred approach to working together and can offer short- or long-term options.
