About me
I work one-to-one with adults, offering counselling and psychotherapy, in-person at my premises in Omagh, or outdoors in natural, local spaces. I do also have the facility to work online via Zoom.
I work in a humanistic way, integrating person-centred counselling with embodied psychotherapy. This means I am with my clients as a fellow human being, rather than an 'expert', and my clients can explore their emotions and relationships in their own way, at their own pace. I believe that our thoughts happen in our minds, and our emotions happen in our bodies. So, my sessions will be a combination of talking about your thoughts and feelings, as well noticing what your body is communicating, and working directly with that too. This might involve meditation, movement and creative techniques. Therapy of this kind can bring about real personal growth as you gain insight into yourself, in a safe, non-judgmental space, through both mind and body.
I am a supportive and empathic listener and observer for my clients, throughout times of distress, confusion, loss and despair. The relationship between me and my clients is based on trust, honesty and respect, and this is at the very heart of my counselling.
What to expect: I work from a peaceful and private indoor therapy room at my premises just outside Omagh, Co Tyrone. I also work outdoors using natural spaces to do walk and talk sessions where I find the presence of nature and the element of movement can really help you process and reflect on what you are going through.
How I can help: I have experience of working with clients with anxiety, long-term medical conditions, depression, despair, loss and relationships issues. I regularly attend continued professional development training courses to further expand my experience and develop my awareness and practice. As an Embodied Psychotherapist, which means I can help you work through emotions stored in your body, which can be especially helpful if you find it hard to talk and open up. Where appropriate I use meditation and guided visualisation with clients, particularly where clients are exploring their spirituality or deeper inner self.
I am proud to support the LGBTQ+ community as an ally.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

My in-person practice is based in the peaceful countryside near Omagh in Co Tyrone, N Ireland, and I can also offer outdoor sessions.
