About me

I'm Hannah, a qualified, experienced, humanistic integrative counsellor working in private practice in Burgess Hill.

I am a BACP registered counsellor and online therapist. My initial work was focused within bereavement and loss and I continue to work voluntarily at a local hospice. My practice now covers a wide variety of presenting issues and I work with people from all sorts of backgrounds.

If you've ended up on this website, you recognise that something is troubling you but maybe you can't quite work out what it is. A bit like an itch you just can't scratch or a nagging feeling you don't quite understand yet. Or perhaps you have a clear idea of what it is and are ready to get in touch.

Many people face difficulties in their personal or professional life that can be hard to understand or come to terms with. Counselling can give you the time and space to focus in on yourself that no one or anything else can.

I draw on a number of Humanistic therapies and ensure that I find the best way of working with the unique individual in front of me.

I offer both short term and long term counselling to individuals.

Please visit my website for further information on how I work and how counselling may be of benefit to you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
