About me

Hi, my name is Haley, I am a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

Are you finding life a struggle? Do you feel alone and lost in your thoughts. Perhaps you feel anxious, depressed, sad, angry, fearful, overwhelmed or having relationship difficulties?

I offer you a warm, genuine and caring relationship, in a a confidential supportive safe space.  I am here for you wherever you are at in your life.  I will be with you in your struggles, and I will listen to you without fear of judgement, helping you to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I believe talking can help and together we can search and find answers to your questions.

Psychotherapy can increase your self-awareness, enhancing your emotional and physical well-being reaching a deeper understanding of yourself. Beyond this psychotherapy supports healthy and fulfilling relationships - with others and more importantly yourself.

I work in my own private practice, with a confidential room not far from the city centre.

I understand it may feel scary taking that first step in reaching out, but if you feel like I could help, please contact me by phone, text or email and I will get back to you within 48 hours.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over 5 years' experience of psychotherapy work. Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, I worked for many years supporting survivors of domestic abuse and trauma and have worked with clients across diverse cultural backgrounds.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy training Institute at Nottingham.

I am a registered member of the BACP (386635)

I continue to develop my skills and regularly develop my learning through reading, research and additional training.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

My fee is £45 per 50-minute session. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to find out what brings you to therapy and for you to ask any questions you have.

We can then book an assessment if you wish to, where we can meet to explore more of your current situation and what you would like to achieve from coming to therapy. It is an opportunity to get to know each other and to get an idea of what it would be like working together.
