About me
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, Member of the Guild of Psychotherapists and committee member of the Guild Clinic. I am fully accredited by UKCP and I abide by the Ethical Codes of Practice of the Guild and of UKCP.
I provide a safe and dependable address, a therapeutic relationship based on trust without judgment. My job is to listen, understand and remember, helping you to make connections you might not otherwise make. I facilitate your insight around patterns and behaviours that may be unconscious and I nurture your psychological development towards growth. You will be understood in your difficulties, facilitated in moving forward, and always supported.
We know that remaining blissfully ignorant of internal or external difficulties does nothing to resolve them. What helps is a gradual unveiling and acceptance of what is being repressed. The analysis of dreams and other unconscious phenomena are important elements of this work.
Our therapeutic relationship is high-stakes and a catalyst for change. We work at your own pace. I don't try to 'fix' you. I help you to resolve your own problems, to achieve mastery of your inner world and to be all the more able to live and love.

Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the Guild of Psychotherapists, a pluralist school of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Although I draw on a broad range of theoretical thinking and approaches, the work emerges out of the unique encounter between us. I strive to provide a tailored and flexible response to your unique internal situation. I am dedicated to supporting and nurturing your authentic self and to relegating trauma, if it's there, to past tense.
I began my clinical practice at the Guild Clinic in Southwark, at the Rock Clinic in Brighton and with psychiatric in-patients in the NHS. I continue to support the Guild Clinic and to the Rock.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

The initial assessment fee which lasts for 90 minutes is £90.
