About me
Dear Reader,
No matter what support you require, I aim to help you find the path toward a more joyful future.
I am a neurodiverse, cis-bi, sex-positive woman of colour. I am a COSRT-registered Psychosexual Therapist and Supervisor, and a COSRT and NCIP-accredited Relationship Therapist. I am trained in several modalities: Systemic Therapy, CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Short Solution-Focused Therapy,Existential Therapy and EMDR.
My approach is gentle, compassionate, sex-positive, trauma-informed, and shame-reducing, all of which contributes to improved communication and personal growth. I prefer to work creatively, so if you’re open to getting pen, paper, colours, and playdough out during sessions, I’m up for it! I love encouraging adults to play because we build relational depth through play. My hope is that we will share many moments of emotional depth, with much joy and laughter along the way.
I work with individuals and people in intimate partnerships of two, three, or more, wishing to resolve issues such as navigating CNM (consensual non-monogamy) and polyamory. Many of my clients are neurodiverse, navigating a late diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, and AuADHD, and people outside of the monogamy 'norm'. I aim to support you while you work through difficulties such as deciding to open up your relationship or navigating CNM or polyamory. Whether you are a member of the GSRD community or your relationship style is more traditional, I can help you gain clarity and develop a workable plan and agreements which meet your relational needs.
As a psychosexual therapist, I support you in overcoming sexual problems that disrupt intimacy in your relationship, such as erectile dysfunction, vaginismus, and anorgasmia (not being able to orgasm). For those looking to spice up their sex life, I offer intimacy coaching.
If you are experiencing what is commonly called 'sex or porn addiction’ or ‘out-of-control sexual behaviour’, I offer Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Therapy. This is a gentle, person-centered program that doesn't pathologise you—I do not treat you as if you have an illness that needs to be cured. Instead, this therapy helps you to understand why your sexual behaviour causes you difficulties, whilst helping you to reduce shame and supporting you in finding healthy and positive ways of managing your behaviour.
I am a member of the British, European, and International Societies in Sexual Medicine, and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity (ATSAC). You will find me on The Black and Asian Therapy Network, The Pink Therapy, and Gendered Intelligence (an organisation supporting trans people) therapists' directories.
If my words resonate with you, please get in touch (I respond quickly to emails, so please check your junk folder if you haven't received a reply) to arrange a free 20-minute consultation. This will help you decide whether I am the right therapist for you.
Remember…the sun always shines above the clouds. Erica 😊
