About me

I am a person-centred counsellor who has worked in the NHS for 5 years working with trauma. I recognise sometimes in life it can feel difficult to know where to turn when we need someone to listen without judgement. There are times when we feel anxious, low in mood or stressed and want to get to the root cause of this. In our counselling sessions, we will move forwards working at your own pace whilst we embark on your counselling journey to take you to where you wish to be.

There are a number of reasons in which people may wish to come to counselling. Sometimes people feel lost or stuck in life and want to explore this in a confidential setting. Others may feel no longer like themselves and are struggling with difficult feelings. Whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, or another challenge you are currently facing, I am here to help.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation via telephone to help you decide if you wish to pursue counselling and take this next step. During this call, you are able to ask me any questions whilst we explore what has brought you to therapy and any goals you may have.

I offer both short term and long-term counselling which is normally decided together within our first few sessions. If you wish for face-to-face sessions, I work in both Leamington Spa and Coventry; alternatively, I offer online sessions via Zoom or via telephone.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a level 4 Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and I am committed to continue with further professional development. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and therefore abide by their standards and ethical framework.

As well as working for the NHS alongside trauma, I have worked with different charity settings for the past 2 years providing counselling. I have worked with clients from a range of backgrounds including struggling with a new diagnosis, anxiety, depression, ADHD and bereavement.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
