About me

Welcome! My name is Simona and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of BACP, presently working online only. Languages I speak are English and Romanian.

I am based in Bournemouth, however I can see you from wherever you are. I am an integrative therapist, working with what the client might need in the present moment during the session. The essence of my work includes a non-judgemental environment, empathy and congruence, creating safety for the clients to access their own potential. My personal and client experience allowed me to study and explore some of the best methods that people usually need to understand themselves and their situation and to bring more clarity into their lives. The approaches I use are person-centred, IFS, TA, Gestalt, CBT, Systemic therapy, focusing on elements of care and support that matter most to the client. Whatever issues you might experience now, it is always possible to overcome these and I would like to offer you my support.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a Registered Member of BACP.

I am also a certified belief clearing practitioner and a certified Sex Therapy Informed professional.

I am studying Trauma, IFS and Systemic therapy and continually investing in my education to be up to date with the most efficient ways in being able to support people.

Even more important than my training I believe that is my ability to connect with people and the genuine care I have for them.

The change in my clients so far has been wonderful, resulting in better relationships, higher self-esteem, more clarity in who they really are, different perspectives about their experiences and much more. This motivates me to continue this fabulous work.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
