About me

I have a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy (MBACP) and practice in Dulwich, central London and online.

For my sessions I work from an integrated, client-focused approach, drawing chiefly from humanistic and psychodynamic theory.
I specialise particularly in ADHD, Relationships and Bereavement.

Integrative psychotherapy combines various therapeutic approaches, drawing from different theories and techniques to tailor treatment to the individual's needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

Originally a professional classical singer, my background in music sparked my interest and transition into Music Therapy training, studying to Master level at the University of Edinburgh. I finally completed an additional Masters in Counselling & Psychotherapy at the University of Roehampton. I have now moved away from music therapy and specialise in ADHD, relationships & bereavement counselling.

My training consisted of three main therapy schools: Psychodynamic, Humanistic (person-centered) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I have worked with clients in various NHS settings, including IAPT utilising Solution Focussed Therapy, in charity settings such as Mind and User Voice, and at the Mulberry Cancer & Bereavement centre. I also have experience within numerous therapeutic environments relating to music and the creative arts.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

I provide a free, optional 20-minute pre-assessment call. This allows prospective clients the chance to ask questions about my practice and discuss moving forward with treatment.

Our initial meeting will be an hour-long assessment at a rate of £95.00. This consultation acts as an important first step in understanding your reasons for pursuing therapy, the therapeutic goals and expectations, and learning a bit about your background and current situation.

Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes on a weekly basis, either for an agreed 6-session basis or for open-ended, long term treatment.
