About me

I am a qualified and experienced integrative counsellor, my approach involves drawing upon and blending multiple theories and interventions to suit the particular needs of my clients.  Are you feeling stuck? or overwhelmed and can't seem to move forward? Perhaps you want to find what is causing persistent anxiety or depression or feeling sad,  understand why you are repeating unhelpful strategies and unwanted behaviours? Do you find you are pleasing everyone but yourself?  Maybe lacking in confidence and low self esteem? Find out who you are and what makes you 'tic'.  Discovering what is at the root to understand and be able to offer yourself understanding and compassion instead, and make positive lasting changes to move forward and enjoy better health and wellbeing . Or maybe you just want to talk about current issues in a confidential and non-judgemental safe space, where exploration can help to identify solutions.

As a qualified holistic therapist I can help clients to understand the mind and body connections and the effects on our physical health.

I have experience in supporting young people at The Lowdown Northampton, a youth mental health charity and previous outreach secondary school counsellor.  I hold an Enhanced DBS for child and adult workforce.

In person or online, weekend and evening sessions.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I have a special interest (but not limited to) with working with ADHD clients, helping them to understand who they are within the context of neurodiversity  and that they are much more than the 'label'. I actively promote for better awareness and work with other ADHD organisations.

I also use 'Inner-Child' therapy to meet the needs that were not met as a child, allowing exploration of beliefs and coping strategies which maybe holding back growth and recognition of unprocessed emotions causing inner turmoil. This helps to validate the child experience and give them a voice,  an opportunity to give self-compassion and understanding.

Experienced with childhood abuse, domestic abuse, complex bereavement and loss, self-harm and coping with loved ones who are suffering with mental health issues.
