About me

I am an experienced  and professionally qualified BACP counsellor with a deep passion for helping you to overcome whatever is troubling you. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and a commitment to your well-being.

I work with adults, adolescents and children  in person, online and over the phone.

Specialties:

Anxiety:

I'm here to help you overcome the paralysing effects of anxiety.

Together, we'll develop practical strategies to manage and reduce anxiety levels.

Let's work on regaining a sense of control and bringing peace back into your life.

Depression:

If you're grappling with depression, know that you're not alone.

We'll work together to understand and alleviate the weight of depression.

Developing strategies to regain a sense of hope and joy will be our focus.

Eating Disorders:

Grounded in empathy, I employ a therapeutic approach that addresses the emotional complexities surrounding food and body image.

Together, through a nurturing and collaborative process, we will work towards cultivating a healthier relationship with food, fostering self-compassion, and achieving lasting recovery.

Family Issues:

I'm here to guide you in resolving conflicts and enhancing family communication.

Together, we'll navigate challenging family dynamics with understanding and empathy.

We'll work on strengthening family bonds and building healthier relationships.

Low Self-Confidence:

Boost self-esteem and cultivating a positive self-image is our goal.

We'll tackle  self-doubt and those negative thoughts holding you back.
Together, we'll achieve your goals and dreams with newfound self-assurance.

Self Harm:

As a compassionate counsellor, I specialise in supporting my clients navigating the challenges of self-harm.

Through therapeutic collaboration, we will develop healthier coping mechanisms, fostering resilience and guiding you towards a path of self-discovery and recovery.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
