About me

Hello, ...I am an integrative therapist trained in Transactional Analysis , Gestalt and IFS models, with Humanistic Person Centred as my core modality, I am also trained in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.

During my life I have known physical and psychological pain, this is what led me to train as a counsellor, and my past informs my empathic responses. I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can explore what is going on for you and find your answers at your pace. Within my time as a counsellor, I have helped clients through the most painfully emotional life issues, stress, anxiety, physical and emotional abuse to name a few.

My core way of working is empathic humanistic person-centred therapy, but I am an integrative counsellor, which means the above methods may weave into the therapeutic space as appropriate.

As I have continued my training over time I have found that IFS parts work has been very beneficial for clients, and freeing for the historical trauma held within their pushed down (exiled) parts. This is a gentle yet dynamic form of therapy.

I offer a safe and caring space for you to go at your pace in our sessions.

I am available Monday to Friday for morning, afternoon and evening sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a CPCAB diploma in therapeutic counselling, I am also trained in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.

During my time as a counsellor, I have worked for two and a half years with the Parenting Project charity within Warwickshire and have helped clients with life issues such as: anxiety, stress, physical and emotional abuse, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss, feelings of shame and guilt, depression and low mood, panic attacks, relationship and family issues and trauma.

It can seem scary making the decision to start the counselling journey, but I will be beside you and together we can find a way through what has been bothering you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
