About me

There are many reasons why people choose to come to therapy.  For some, it can be a sense of discomfort, an internal struggle, or perhaps an external trigger has pushed you towards seeking support.

I have a deep passion for helping people recognise the patterns, decisions, and choices that no longer serve them. Together, we’ll explore the experiences that have shaped who you are and how you’ve arrived at this stage in your life. My aim is to support you in moving towards a more meaningful and fulfilling way of living, with greater self-awareness and clarity about your purpose.

Therapy can be an empowering process, supporting you to reconnect with yourself, to notice and take care of your needs, bringing you self awareness, healing, and a deeper sense of security.

I work to provide clients with a safe and attuned therapeutic experience. This gives you the space to look at old patterns of behaviour that are no longer serving you, supporting you to make healthier changes, moving you forward into a place of authenticity.

I work with couples and people in diverse relationship structures to restore connection, rebuild trust, and communicate more effectively. I also support individuals working through relationship struggles or the lasting effects of historical trauma, abuse and neglect.
With curiosity, insight, and practical strategies, we’ll explore patterns, heal emotional wounds, and create more fulfilling ways of relating to yourself and others.

My main training and theoretical background is Transactional Analysis & Relational Integrative Psychotherapy.  I also draw on Trauma-Informed Nervous System Regulation techniques in my work to support deeper healing.

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy for individuals, couples, and groups.

I am committed to providing a confidential, secure, and supportive environment to explore and work through your difficulties.

If you have any queries or would like to arrange a session, please get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

Experience

I have been working as a therapist since 2010 and with couples & relationships since 2013.
Alongside my private practice I have experience working within units specialised in working with those who have experienced sexual trauma. I have also worked within prison services providing individual and group trauma therapy. I work with those who have experienced significant trauma including childhood trauma and neglect.

I have extensive experience proving therapy for staff within the NHS, and local GP surgeries. For several years I facilitated stress & anxiety training for staff who work within the NHS. I often work with those who experience extreme anxiety using Nervous System Regulation exercises to build the capacity to tolerate situations that feel challenging.  In addition to this, I spent 5 years working within Mental Health Rehabilitation services.

I have substantial experience working with people who are Neurodivergent - Autistic / ADHD.  This includes those who have a late diagnosis or are currently on the path to seeking a diagnosis.

I provide individual and group supervision for various workplace organisations in the UK.  Please see my supervision profile for more details.

Relationship & Couples Therapy

I am a qualified Relationship Therapist & have been working with couples & relationships since 2013.

I am trained in various modalities of Couples Therapy, however the one I have extensive and continuous training in is The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy which is a specialist approach to Couples Therapy - Integrating Attachment Theory, Differentiation Theory & Neuroscience. (The Couples Institute).

I work with heterosexual presenting relationships & those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community  (including Polyamory & Ethical Non-Monogamy) who are at various stages in their relationship.

Relationship therapy allows you to work through issues in your current relationship, look at how past relationships may be affecting your current one, and explore ways of improving and strengthening your relationships in the future.

I believe my primary role is to help you improve your responses to each other without violating your integrity, core values or deeply held principles.

The major aim of relationship therapy is increasing your knowledge about yourself, your partner and the patterns of interaction between you.  Therapy becomes effective as you apply new knowledge to break ineffective patterns and develop better ones.

I also offer a Couple's Intensive which is a bespoke course, specifically designed for your relationship. This takes place over 1 - 3 days, depending on what you would prefer.
Please get in touch for further details.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
