About me
Hi I’m Chris(tine welcome to my profile.
I am an experienced counsellor and have been practicing for over 27years.
I have a warm friendly personality which helps clients to feel at ease. Along with my four friendly dogs. We will work on building a trusting relationship so clients can explore what is troubling them and find the way forward for a happier and more rewarding life.
I have experience in most things that affect the mental health and well being of clients. For example anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, chronic and life threatening illnesses, relationship/family issues, carers issues and disabilities. This list isn't exhaustive.
I offer reduced fees in some circumstances if I have the slots available. As I work part time I can usually see new clients immediately.
What to do next?
You can contact me, either by email or by phone on 0208 465 7325, to arrange a free initial half hour session so we can discuss how we can work together - I'll look forward to hearing from you soon.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I have four small affectionate dogs which my clients enjoy petting and the dogs help the clients feel at ease. They also instinctively know when the end of the session has arrived and come up to be petted. If a client has a fear of dogs and wants to address the problem then we can work on it with one dog at a time. With one client this work just took 3 sessions. If the client does not want to work on this issue then the dogs are secured in their cage in another room.
