About me
I’m Chloe and I provide counselling and mental health support in Bangor, Gwynedd. I provide a warm and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We will work together as a team through what is challenging you (past, present, or future), how it is impacting you now, and explore what needs to happen to achieve your goals.
I have training in person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive, and behavioural therapy, and can use one or all of these to support you in the most effective way. I believe everyone is different and so requires different approaches to therapy. Therefore, I will always uniquely tailor the way I work with clients to ensure you receive the best possible support.
I am a Christian and believe everyone is deserving of good mental health support. I provide all my clients with unconditional acceptance and encouragement. I believe that a safe space to work through challenges with someone you can trust is essential for growth and development. I will always try to make you feel comfortable and secure in our sessions together.
I provide face-to-face therapy at the Papillon Counselling Centre in Bangor, Gwynedd. This is easily accessible by bus or car if you are not based in the Bangor area. I also provide online counselling through Doxy, which is available to anyone based in the UK.
Training, qualifications & experience
I obtained by MSc Counselling and BSc Psychology degrees from Bangor University, these qualifications have contributed to the academic and evidence-based foundations of my counselling philosophy.
Previously, I have worked as a counsellor for AgeUK Wirral, Stockport Christian Counselling, and GISDA. I have also been based as a counsellor in the Youth and Community Centre in Maesgeirchen, Bangor.
I have also volunteered as a helpline volunteer for the Samaritans and as a digital helpline volunteer for BEAT, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
