About me

Welcome, my name is Charlotte, but I am known as Roxy. I am a Systemic Psychotherapist and offer family, couple and individual therapy online. I offer a tailored approach to support families, couples and individuals. I have over ten years’ experience supporting people with a wide range of dilemmas, including: relationship difficulties, neurodivergence, including ADHD and/or autism diagnoses and work dilemmas (in many contexts). I also support people to adjust to parenting life and the dilemmas that can arise. My hope is to support you to build better relationships, by focusing on what helps us to connect with others and to create room to explore what barriers may be in the way. I continue to hold in mind intersectionality and how our similarities and differences influences our relationships.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

I always offer an initial (free) consult, to help us see whether we are a good 'fit' for each other, as it is important when finding a therapist that you feel comfortable.

Family therapy:

I welcome you and your family (family considered as a broader term, as opposed to a ‘nuclear’ family, who you consider as family) to explore your strengths and to think together about any dilemmas you may be experiencing. Family therapy can offer a new perspective to family life and the opportunity to speak openly about the dilemmas you are facing as a family.

Couple therapy

Relationship, couple and/or partner therapy is an opportunity to discuss any worries you may be experiencing in your relationship. I work with partners at different stages in their relationship, from wanting to build connection and closeness, as well as with people who are considering a breakup. I can also support relationships in different contexts, such as working relationships.

Individual therapy

I offer individual therapy to think about any dilemmas you may be experiencing, including: neurodivergence, questions around identity, relationships and work worries.

Length of the session:
Therapy sessions are 1 hour long. The frequency is usually weekly or fortnightly.
I have worked with some individuals, couples and families for up to two years, and with others for a short period of time.

Confidentiality:
I respect your confidentiality;, however, there may be times when I may need to share information, such as: for example if I am concerned about your safety. In this case, I would discuss this with you and seek consent to share.
