Life can be really hard, and sometimes we will all face certain issues that we struggle to cope with, and it's ok to look for help because even if your the kind of person thats strong for everyone else you also need someone to talk to and that's why I'm here, so have a look through my profile and please feel free to contact me if you want any other information.
I primarily trained as a person centred counsellor, but I also draw on my integrative skills so that my counselling practice can be tailored to meet the individual needs of my clients. This type of therapy can be beneficial for a wide range of issues such as, depression, low self esteem, bullying, anxiety, panic attacks, and anger issues. I also specialise in working with clients going through grief and loss, and Vulnerable adults due to me having 17yrs of experience working in the mental health system.
How can I help?
I can offer you a private space where you can talk freely about any issues you may be having without being judged. Talking with a family member or friend can of course be helpful, but you may also hold back your true feelings as you may not want to upset them or cause them any worry, and that's why talking to me can help because as a counsellor I'm totally impartial and not involved in your life, and being able to speak so freely in my experience is one of the biggest benefits of counselling.
My role as your counsellor will be to listen and help you see things more clearly and possibly from a different view point. I will help you to explore your issues to give you a better understanding of them so that you can deal with your feelings effectively, this in turn will help you to increase your self awareness and promote your well-being.
When and where?
I have a comfortable space within my own home with a downstairs toilet for your convenience. Roadside parking is available directly next to my house. If you would prefer I am also available to travel and visit you within your own home for a small fee added on top to cover my petrol costs. I am available between the hours of 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
Your first session
There will be an initial assessment session that will last 45mins, this will be free of charge and will be the perfect opportunity to meet me and to see where your sessions will take place. It's vital that you feel comfortable with me so hopefully after this initial meeting you will be able to decide if you wish to have me as your counsellor.

My working background is primarily in mental health as I have worked in the care sector for the past 17yrs. In that time I have worked with a wide range of adults with both severe and mild learning disabilities, I also worked with challenging behaviour adults for 5yrs so I have a good working knowledge in these areas. I have also worked for Leicestershire Police for the past 4yrs as a PSV providing support for Vulnerable adults and victims of low level crime identified on our beat.
As a counsellor my primary experience is within bereavement as I have worked as a grief counsellor for St Barnabas Hospice based at Grantham for the past 4yrs providing pre and post bereavement counselling. And through St Barnabas I have also worked with carers of patients and patients themselves who are either terminally ill or suffering from a life limiting illness. As a grief counsellor I have worked with adults who presented with a wide range of issues because the loss of someone quite often brings unresolved issues to the surface. Some of these issues have included, historical abuse, relationship problems, guilt and anger.
