About me

Hi, I am Ben, an enthusiastic and empathetic therapist deeply committed to guiding individuals on their transformative journey towards personal growth and self-discovery.

At Therapy with Ben, my private practice, I extend a diverse range of counselling services carefully tailored to suit your distinct requirements. Be it a walk-and-talk experience, the comfort of a counselling room, or the convenience of virtual sessions, I provide a secure and confidential space, inviting you to freely explore your thoughts and emotions. At the core of my philosophy lies an unwavering faith in the potency of an impartial and person-centered approach to counselling.

My mission revolves around fostering self-empowerment and self-awareness, with the goal of facilitating natural and enduring transformation. Integrating a psychodynamic lens, I acknowledge the profound influence of unconscious processes on our cognitive landscape, emotional realm, and behavioural dynamics. This approach enables us to unearth concealed patterns, allowing insights that ultimately contribute to your personal maturation and overall well-being.

The journey of life often entails difficult challenges and pivotal transitions, which can sometimes leave us feeling disoriented and overwhelmed. I specialise in providing guidance through these junctures. My approach means I resist giving advice or prescribing directives, as I firmly believe that you inherently possess all the knowledge to live a fulfilled life. Our collaborative journey is about exploring your unique circumstances, ensuring the most positive outcomes for you.

My aim is to create an environment without judgment—a space where your authentic self can flourish. My goal is to illuminate self-discoveries and identify behavioural patterns that might be hindering your full happiness. I am a staunch advocate of empowerment and personal autonomy. Naturally disposed towards non-judgmental perspectives, I reject the notion of conformity to external standards. In fact, I champion the imperative of embracing one's authentic self and wholeheartedly embracing life's full spectrum. My abiding conviction is in the innate goodness within each individual, and I firmly believe that you are the ultimate authority on your aspirations, beliefs, and values.
