About me
Hi, my name is Anna, The Talk Therapist.
I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor based in Great Barr, Birmingham. I provide a safe, warm and confidential space for clients to explore life issues and any challenges that they may be facing.
I consider myself to be a warm, empathic and non-judgmental counsellor, ready to listen.
I am a mature person, who came to this field later in life, as a result of my own personal life experiences, which gave me the motivation to make a difference in other people’s lives.
I am a pluralistic counsellor which means I explore different ways of working with my clients, based on shared decision making and what suits the client best at any given time.
I work with adults in many areas, including in my areas of special interest, which include cancer, relationship issues, domestic abuse, menopause, weight loss, cultural identity issues and loss and grief.
Greek Cypriot is my second language.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor, my qualifications include:

Level 4 Diploma in counselling skills and theory.
I also have a Level 3 Diploma in Hypnotherapy.

Further information
I recently completed a one year placement at a Women's refuge in Birmingham, where I had the privilege of counselling many women survivors of domestic abuse. The women brought many issues and challenges to the counselling room, including loss, addiction, bereavement, relocating countries, mental and physical abuse.
