About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges, struggling with anxiety, depression, or the complexities of a life transition? Challenges in relationships, your career, health or family life may make it difficult to cope. How would you like things to be different? Exploring your thoughts and feelings with an experienced, compassionate psychotherapist in a safe, confidential space can help you find different ways of feeling, thinking and understanding. Whether it is a current issue troubling you, or something from the past, together we can address your concerns and instigate insight and change.

As an integrative psychotherapist I have been trained to work in a variety of ways and be flexible according to your needs. Each individual is unique and what is beneficial to us changes as we encounter challenges throughout life. My approach draws on humanistic, cognitive-behavioural and psychodynamic models of therapy to help gain a better understanding of your lived experience and how you make sense of it. With a flexible approach, you may choose to explore past experiences that have impacted your current life and relationships, or you may work on finding ways to deal better with challenges and gain practical skills. Alternatively, you may seek support during a challenging life transition or loss. Fundamental to my approach is a trusting and collaborative relationship which allows us to explore your issues together.

Whether you seek short- or long-term therapy, I am committed to providing the support you need that fosters insight and change. Seeking therapy can feel challenging. I offer a free introductory call which enables you to decide whether you want to work with me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
