About me

Hello, I'm Amy, a dedicated and compassionate counsellor with a first-class honours degree in counselling. With a wealth of experience in supporting individuals through various challenges, I am deeply committed to helping clients navigate their unique journeys towards healing and growth.

My counselling journey started as a pastoral support worker in primary schools, I assisted children and their families in nurturing their mental well-being. I also have invaluable work experience at a doctors' GP practice, Marisco Medical Practice at Mablethorpe, where I provided professional counselling services. I have also worked at Franklin College, empowering young minds to cope with life's complexities.

Specialising in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and grief, I also embrace continuous learning to expand my capabilities further.

As an integrative counsellor, I incorporate various therapeutic approaches to suit the unique needs of each client. My practice revolves around person-centred counselling, fostering a non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their feelings and experiences openly.

I believe my life experiences, including being a single mother, enable me to connect empathically with those facing challenges and uncertainties. By understanding the intricacies of life's trials, I can offer a genuine and empathetic perspective, fostering a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients.

Along with one to one counselling, I am also trained as a couples and family counsellor enabling growth together and discovering resolutions to issues through effective communication and compassion.

For in-person sessions, my counselling room is in the heart of Louth, Lincolnshire. However, I also offer online counselling to individuals regardless of their location, ensuring accessibility and convenience. I can also offer home visits for those who would struggle attending session.

As a counsellor, my passion for helping others is unwavering, and I am constantly striving to enhance my knowledge and expertise.

If you're seeking a compassionate counsellor to guide you through life's challenges, I am here to walk alongside you on this journey.

Contact me to schedule a session and take the first step toward positive change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
